Resolution Providing for a Referendum Election to Levy 0.25 Mills for a Two Year Period to Provide for Critical Operating Needs
Issue/Rationale
The School Board has levied 0.25 mills Critical Needs Millage for the 2009-2010 fiscal year and has expressed its intent to continue said levy for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. In order to be continued after the 2010-2011 fiscal year the Critical Needs Millage must be approved by the voters of the District at the 2010 General Election. This Resolution is necessary to place this issue before the electorate.
Recommended Action
Approve the Resolution as presented.
Financial Impact
There is no immediate impact. The ultimate impact cannot be determined until such time as the election has been held.
